How do I apply for a FOID card in Illinois?
We will gladly help you with your FOID application any time Monday-Friday during store hours. The application is relatively straightforward and if you would be otherwise allowed to legally purchase a firearm, you would qualify for a FOID card.
Paper applications no longer exist unless delivered by the state police. If you find a paper application online, at a police station, or a store, do not use it as the state police no longer accepts paper applications.
We will gladly help you with your FOID application any time Monday-Friday during store hours. You must bring the following:
- Illinois Driver’s License or ID card with current address
- Cell phone that can receive text messages
- Email address that has not been used for a FOID or Concealed Carry application
- Your most recent FOID card if available
- Credit or debit card to pay the application fee of $11
We will handle the rest of the application for a $10 fee in addition to the state fee ($21 total). Please remember that we do not have a special system for applications and the state is not the easiest to work with sometimes.
